Terms of Service
Effective date: 6 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Lispr app and the lispr.ai website. By downloading or using Lispr, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Lispr.
1.The service
Lispr is a voice-to-text utility for macOS, provided by Codebridge Technology, Inc. ("Codebridge", "we", "us"). You hold a key, speak, and Lispr inserts the recognized text at your cursor.
2.Early access
Lispr is offered in early access. It may change, contain bugs, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. Features and availability are not guaranteed.
3.Licence to use Lispr
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Lispr for your own use, subject to these terms. We retain all rights, title and interest in Lispr, including its name, design and code.
4.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Lispr for any unlawful purpose, or to transcribe content you have no right to;
- abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the transcription service or its infrastructure;
- reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute Lispr except as permitted by law;
- use Lispr in a way that infringes the rights of others.
You are responsible for what you choose to dictate and for how you use the resulting text.
5.Third-party services
Lispr relies on third parties to function — notably Groq, Inc. for speech transcription and Cloudflare, Inc. for hosting and infrastructure. Your use of Lispr is also subject to those providers' own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6.No warranty
Lispr is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that transcription will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. Speech recognition is imperfect — review the inserted text before relying on it.
7.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codebridge will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Lispr. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Lispr — which, during early access, is nothing.
8.Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of Lispr after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
11.Paid plans and billing
When paid plans launch, purchases will be processed by Paddle — our merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment, applicable taxes and invoices; your contract of sale for paid plans is with Paddle, and their buyer terms also apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Prices are shown before purchase, in US dollars; the applicable price may depend on the country of your payment method.
- Refunds are described in our Refund Policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee on first purchases.
- The core of Lispr — dictation and instant translation — remains available on the free plan; paid plans add capacity and extra features on top.
- Paid plans are sold for use by one person. Where a plan is described as having unlimited dictation minutes, that means we do not meter you — not that the account may be shared or driven by automated tools. If usage on an account looks far outside any individual pattern, we will contact you before taking any action.
